Haworthia truncata var. crassa

This plant and its twin, DEM709-B, are from Calitzdorp.  Interestingly there are populations in the Calitzdorp area that show intermediate characteristics of both var. truncata and var. maughanii.  This plant appears to be from one of those intermediate populations.  This is an example of the tremendously variable gene pool within Haworthia, as this is not a hybrid, it is simply part of a population of plants that exhibit characteristics half way between the two named varieties.
