Haworthia truncata var.
crassa

This was purchased from a South African Nursery under the name Haworthia "Congesta" which is the word Japanese Haworthia aficionados use for crassa. Haworthia truncata var crassa is an old variety for the thick or round leaved forms of Haworthia truncata var truncata. This plant started out as distichous, but has recently pushed a number of leaves to the side. Not really a rosette, so the next year will tell if it reverts to a traditional "crassa" look, or if it forms a rosette like maughanii.
