The pictured plant is a Haworthia graminifolia.  It has done quite while in the eight months I have had it, putting out several new leaves. It is not as robust as the other varieties though seems to have its own pace. I give it no special care, watering when dry and giving it lots of light. As near as I can tell it is "thriving"!
