Haworthia nigra var. diversifolia (V.Poelln.) Uitewaal

Haworthia nigra is widespread in the East and West Cape provances. This plant came to me as var. nana, and it is small indeed. Its diminutive size is only exceeded by its slow growth rate. It does reproduce from stolens, and this trio have a small pup poking through in the shadows. Few Haworthias can as elegant as H. nigra, especially the compact form such as you see here. This plant is not hard, but it won't be hurried.  This plant is now in the collection of Inus Henny.
