First known as Haworthia browniana, this species has now been submerged under Haworthia fasciata.  This plant originated from cuttings of a plant from J.R. Brown (for whom the pant is named), who received it from W.E. Armstrong, who collected it about 7 miles northeast of Uitenhage.
