When this plant was introduced by the ISI they called it Haworthia aristata.  Today, H aristata is a completely different plant.  This plant is from rooted cuttings of plants (Stellenbosch #5667) collected by J. Luckhoff at Montague, Cape Province, South Africa and imported into the USA in 1948
