Shown are two H. truncata var. maughanii seedlings that I grew from seed.  These are 33 months old and are bout 2cm in diameter.   These plants show a lot of reddish coloring from the strong spring sun.  Compare this coloring to the color 3 months ago by following the bottom link below.
