This Haworthia comes from the Eastern Cape of South Africa,  where all cymbiformis varieties exist. Introduced by the ISI as ISI 98-51, Haworthia reddii: this plant is an offset of HBG 81009, one of five clones collected by J. Venter (JDV92-113) at the type locality:  Waterdown Dam, Fort Beaufort Dist., Eastern Cape Province, South Africa it was made a variety of H. cymbiformis by Bayer in 1999.
