Our last look at Haworthias in the wild was at dusk on May 18th.  Kobus stopped at a huge rocky hillside beside the road.  The rock face was nearly vertical and was absolutely covered with Haworthia mirabilis var. triebneriana.  On this one rock we were looking at perhaps more Haworthias than we had seen in the previous two weeks!  Perhaps there were 20,000 plans in the one spot.  It was such an ideal habitat that I recommend that all Haworthia growers build a 20 meter rock in their glasshouses and grow their plants there!
