Haworthia pygmaea var. argenteo-maculosa also occurs a short distance away from Humor Farm at Cooper Station. Here the farmer sent us out with his two sons who were surprised when we found the plants in their favorite snake catching spot. Each time we found another nice Haworthia specimen among the rocks, the boys would tell about a Cape Cobra or a Puff Adder or a Rinkhals that they had caught in the near proximity. Unfortunately we saw none of these, probably because of the cool weather.
