Haworthia.com Vendors
Page
These are vendors from whom I have purchased Haworthia.
There are others, especially in Europe and South Africa, that I simply have not had the pleasure
of purchasing their Haworthias. The listing below are those that I have ordered from personally
who have served me very
well and who I recommend!

Steven Hammer's Sphaeroid Institute
845 Mason Road
Vista, CA

USA
Although better know for his Conophytum and Lithops, it is not a very well kept secret that Steven Hammer has the best grown Haworthias in the USA. Most are simply spectacular: spectacular in size, color, health, and vigor. When ordering from Steven, you often will find a free plant tossed in as surprise! Just like Cracker Jacks! Looking for a rare plant? Check with Steven Hammer, as his "off list" is longer than the plants he lists.

Burks was the premier USA Haworthia supplier for many years. They closed shop and retired in summer of 2005. We will all miss their great plant quality and their fast and friendly service.
Mesa
Garden
PO Box 72
Belen, NM 87002
USA
Mesa Garden is legendary as a source of succulent seeds, and deservedly so. Less well know is that they have some very nice Haworthia plants too. Steve and Linda Brack are the owners and provide great service at an very reasonable price. Each of their twice annual catalogs has some Haworthia seeds that prove to be real finds. Mesa has a great web site, and everything can be ordered from this site using your credit card. If you like growing cacti and succulents from seeds; Welcome to Heaven!
Sheilam's Website
Sheilam Nursery
P.O Box 157
Robertson. CP 6706
Republic of South Africa
Sheilam is the place to go for South African plants and is the place to go for that hard to find Haworthia. Their Haworthia list is as fine a list as there is anywhere, and the prices are low. It is best to write via snail mail. Minimum order is R300 or about $50 USA, but after international monetary funds transfer chargers the cost is significantly higher.
This is the premier site in the Netherlands for cactus and succulents. Run by
Cok and Ine Grootscholten, the huge greenhouse holds both a large sales area, and the huge and famous collection of Cok, who has a wonderful collection of Haworthias.
Succulent Tissue Culture (STC) is owned and operated by
Robert Wellens who specializes in tissue culture of rare and hard to obtain succulents, including Haworthias. He is very helpful and gives great service at a very attractive price.
International
Succulents Introductions
International Succulent Introductions is operated by the Huntington Botanical Gardens. They offer cacti and succulent plants new to horticulture annually, usually with location data. Every year they list a few Haworthias.
